Azienda Agricola Matteo Correggia

The winery was founded in 1985 by Matteo Correggia in Roero (Piemonte), a region of northwestern Italy. Roero is located just across the Tanaro River from the more famous Barolo and Barbaresco zones in the Langhe. Despite being smaller and less well-known, Roero has gained increasing recognition for its distinctive terroir and refined, expressive wines.

After Matteo’s passing, his wife Ornella and later their son Giovanni continued his legacy, working alongside winemaker Luca Rostagno and a dedicated team. Together, they have combined innovation with tradition —experimenting with new winemaking techniques while preserving Matteo’s philosophy of uncompromising excellence.

The estate today covers 20 hectares of vineyards rooted in sandy, mineral-rich soils, producing elegant and complex wines with refined bouquets. Since 2014, the winery has been certified organic, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, including the adoption of modern practices such as the use of screw caps on select wines.
